NYC Schools continue iPad distribution for students in need of a device

As remote learning continues—quite possibly until the end of the academic year—it's necessary for children to be equipped with the proper tools. As a result, the NYC DOE is stepping in to assist by lending 300,000 internet-enabled iPads to those families who do not have access. Originally, parents needed to submit forms by April 23 for late-April distribution, but now the deadline has been lifted.

If you want to request an iPad from NYC Schools, here's what you need to know:

• Parents and students are required to fill out a form
• Completing the Student Device Loan Agreement is mandatory
• iPads are being distributed on a rolling basis
• Priority is given to students with the greatest need
• There is a limit of one device per student
• Families can cancel their request online
• All devices must be returned
